2 Favourite Items for the Canadian Cold

Canadian Touque

I’m going to post about one of my least favourite parts of living in Canada. The winter. It’s cold, and dark, and snowy, and just plain icky.

I just went to go do groceries for the upcoming work week (because who has time when you work 12 hours a day and then dance for 2 after that) and I seriously did not want to leave my house. We had some snow fall last night and today so first instinct is to dress warm.

And what better way to beat the cold than a totally Canadian touque?

I love touques. They are the absolute best for covering your ears and staying warm. Oh and yes, I know, not a wonderful picture but a girls gotta make due with what she has when inspiration strikes. I also love fuzzy lined zip up hoodies. Now those are things I couldn’t live without in our cold northern winters.

The one I’m sporting is a lovely Kismet brand sweater. And I got it at a steal (because the label is sewn in upside down!) This sweater has been with me for about 2 years and I cannot get over the quality! Even the fuzzy lining is STILL FUZZY! I couldn’t imagine a winter without this baby. So comfy and warm.

So there you have it. My first 2 essentials to beat the cold. Next step is an upgrade to this lovely set.

Especially when the real frigid temperatures hit in the coming weeks!

What do you do to stay warm when the temperature drops? Let me know in the comments!
