So every year people (like myself) make all these insanely hard to fulfill New Years Resolutions. You know the ones, those general big hitters like “I’m going to eat healthy,” “I’m going to run everyday!” the ones you tell your friends circle but really have no intentions of actually doing. Heck I’ve done that every year for the last who knows how many. Those goals have a habit of being left in the dust 2 weeks into the New Year. Yup 2 week. That’s it. those first 14 days are the hardest after life starts again. Christmas holidays are done, if you even had any to begin with…
With that comes the complete loss of accountability to those goals. We’re busy, we have too much on our plates, we just need a few days of routine gain. Before we know it its February and not a change has been made. Sound familiar? I agree. This is me. Every year.
This year I’m not sitting back and coasting it through. This year I have plans. I have goals. small attainable goals that should be easily achieved and lead to bigger and better goals. One small step at a time. In fact this very post is goal #1 for me. Where’s the box so I can throw a check in it? This year I’m starting out new and working my way to improved (because lets face it improved doesn’t happen overnight no matter how many times we try. New takes time and time I’ve got…
My current goals leading into the new year are pretty simple.
- Start a blog (yay!! still looking for that box to check)
- Write more (hence the blog)
- Get back to photography (which ties in directly to this site because content needs photos)
- Be my personal best in Ballet (definitely more to follow on that topic)
- Have at least 1 adventure per season
All in all pretty easy goals one would think, but tie it in the my insanely sporadic and busy life and well you have a recipe for putting things on the back burner and leaving them undone. so here goes 2020! Lets get it underway one day at a time. What are your goals for the up and coming 2020 year?
