So this weekend we got our first quading trip in. It wasnt a big trip. Just put to the grandparent’s place and booting around in the community. We learned a few things whilst ripping around.
- The hubby’s quad doesnt like to charge its battery unless it has been pull started… that’ll take some investigating.
- I can get stuck easily. But, with the winches it’s easy to get unstuck hooray!!
- Quading at the grandparents is quite limited as there are No ATV signs all over the place. And we of course respected those sogns because neither of wants a nasty fine or to leave a bad taste in the communities mouth.
- Ensure we have enough extra tie towns so we’re not pulling into a highway truck stop looming for more just in case.
All in all the trip went well and we had a great time out there. It wasnt the trip to the forest we were hoping for but with the kids and scheduling it was the best we could manage.
Now that we’ve had the maiden voyage on the quads we have a better idea of what works for us and what doesn’t. I’m really excited to get back into outdoor adventures.
